Are You Scared?

Conveyer belt Drills, Shotguns on strings, Self-operations, and an
axe to the face, make an enjoyable film experience.
The plot involves Six people that wake up in a warehouse and are made
to believe they are taking part in a reality-TV game show called,
Are You Scared? Where they must face up to and overcome their worst
fears. To me this film is very similar to the saw films, but without
the Laughing Doll. I thought the plot could be better, but for this
type of film the plot is not that important to me, the special effects
are.
I didn't recognise any of the cast, which I like in this type of film
it keeps it more real. The acting was ok, but seemed a bit poor in
places. Again the characters involved remind me of the Second saw
film, with the troubled cop and his female partner and a group of
people trapped in a building.
The game concepts involved were good especially the twins strapped
in with the drills.
The special effects are convincing, they play a large
part in this film, without them I don't think I would of enjoyed it
as much.
The DVD didn't come with any special features, just
scene selection
Overall I feel this film was ok, nothing special but enjoyable none
the less, it will be very familiar if you have seen Saw 2. And if
you didn't like the Saw films I doubt you will like this film. But
if you did its worth a look, not as good, but with some original concepts
and death scenes.
